10 Year Old Girl's New Room Make Over Reveal

Hi Friends,
Thanks for stopping by The Chalkboard Cottage! We've been busy over here getting over nasty colds and starting our almost 8 year boy's birthday celebrations as well as getting ready for some time off from school (spring break and longgggg break).

Today's post is to reveal our almost ten year old girl's new room make-over. You might remember that her father and I secretly made over her room about four years ago but it wasn't her dream room. This time, we learned from our past mistakes and let our girl create a vision for her new room, on a budget of course, thanks to Pinterest. How did we ever live before Pinterest?

Initially, she wanted a loft bed with a desk underneath, but we vetoed that idea as we just purchased her mattress and box spring a few years ago and it is one comfy bed.

Let's take a peek into her room:

Come on in....

It's amazing what two cans of gold spray paint, one can of blue paint (for the room and the dresser), gold vinyl dots for walls, and a few new accessories can do to transform a room....(the purple chandelier will be leaving the room soon)...

Our girl is super happy with the results. She loves having a new desk in her room to do her homework, write poetry, and write in her diary.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you're having a great week!
Happy living and decorating,
Megan

Be Still and Do Nothing

Sometimes the best advice is to be still and do nothing.

Sometimes when you're not sure which way to go, the best way, is no way.

Sometimes when we're still, things work out for the best, as they should.

Here's to being still.....
